Tunis — Regional director of the World Health Organisation (WHO) for Eastern Mediterranean, Dr. Houcine Abderrazak El Jazairi, extended sincere congratulations to President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali for the renewed confidence the Tunisian people placed in his person and for his re-election for a new presidential tenure.

In a message sent to the Head of State, WHO regional director expresses to President Ben Ali his best wishes of success in leading Tunisia's edification and modernisation process.

He pays tribute to the President of the Republic for the interest he takes in the health sector which holds a privileged position in his electoral platform for the next five years, pointing out that WHO considers that progresses achieved in Tunisia in matters of health are an example worth following by the region's countries.
