Nigeria: Yobe Council Poll Confirms ANPP's Credence - Ezeoke

Abuja — National chairman of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), Chief Edwin Ume-Ezeoke, yesterday said that the successful conduct of local government elections in Yobe State is a confirmation of the credence of the party and a proof that if given the mandate to govern Nigeria, the party shall offer good leadership and conduct transparent and credible election for the country.

Reacting to an award conferred on the Yobe State governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Geidam, for conducting what was described as the most peaceful and transparent local government election in the country, Ezeoke argued that one of the major problems facing Nigeria is bad electoral process.

"This achievement proves to the teeming population of our country that if our great party is given the mandate to govern, we shall offer good leadership and conduct a transparent and credible election for the country," Ezeoke said.
