Gusau — Zamfara State government has been commended for its foresight in exploiting the mineral resources deposits in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfaa state.

The commendation was made by, Alhaji Muhammad Tukur Maru while chatting with Daily Champion. Alhaji Maru who applauded the state government for the flag -off campaign of polio immunization at Maru Local Government Area and the exploiting of the mineral deposits which the local government is blessed with.

He also called on the state government to resuscitate important tourist places at Kalele and Kuyanbana as according to him, this would in no small measure contribute in the economic well being of the state.

Maru said, the people of Maru local Government Area would continue to give their unflinching support and cooperation to government programmes.

Speaking on the issue of Maru Brotherhood Union, Maru said "brotherhood union did not die but that Maru Forum has overshadowed it the later in aspect of building schools, Provision of educational materials and others".
