Gaborone — Earthworx is back again. The group, which hit the music industry with its smash hit Sekukuni in 2004 and later released its Earthworx Volume Two' the following year has released a new album. The album simply titled Earthworx Vol.3 2009/2010 season brings out Tinto, arguably the greatest song that ever came out of the Ramco Records Studio.
This time around the story of Tinto, a loafer who keeps producing children whereas he has no means of maintaining them, is wrapped in a house tune.
Here the studio owner took the traditional song and reworked it in an effort to reach out to house lovers. The song is still good though and would definitely set the clubhouses on fire. Another song that has been remade is Ke thutswe ke koloi by Kganka. Likewise, the song is a house version of its original. When contacted for comment, Ramco Records owner Eric Ramogobya said that the concept behind Clorkworx is to launch their new artists on the music market. At the same time, they also want to remind music lovers of their favourite artists like Kganka and Matsieng. "It is a platform at which we try to promote our artists," he said.
Besides house, the album also features genres like gospel. The Records studio sampled popular gospel song Jeso ke ene.
The album has other songs are Nyala nna, Dilo tsa mafifi and many more which would make good listening especially at a party.
All songs are copyrighted to Eric Ramco Publishing, whilst the album has been mastered by Collin Fransch. It is produced by Ramogobya, Presley Metshe and Gofaone Mapitse.
