The Liberty Party of Charles Brumskine, and the National Democratic Party of Liberia of late President Samuel K. Doe, have announced enlisting for football star George Weah's Congress for Democratic Change in the run-off for the Montserrado County senatorial race.
But unconfirmed reports say the defeated LP candidate, Darius Dillon, is reportedly to jump to the Unity Party.
The LP announced its alliance with the CDC Wednesday at a press conference. The NDPL lined-up behind the CDC in 2005, with its stronghold, Grand Gedeh County, voting over 97% for Mr. Weah in the presidential election.
