Rwanda: Musanze Hit Hardest By Swine Flu

Kigali — The Ministry of Health has revealed Musanze the district most affected by Swine Flu.

This was revealed Wednesday by the head of H1N1 taskforce, Dr. Justin Wane.

The Northern Province district is followed by Kigali city's Gasabo district and Rusizi.

Other districts hit by the influenza include Rubavu, Burera Muhanga.

Since the first case of H1N1 was recorded in Rwanda in October, 261 cases were confirmed out of the 1,143 tests done of the highly contagious respiratory infection.

According to the presentation, all confirmed cases, save for one, have fully recovered.

Wane said that despite the containment of the flu, there is need to strengthen the community's awareness.
