Fatou Manneh, an 11-month-old baby girl from New Jeshwang, is in dire need of help to undergo surgical operation in Dakar, Senegal, a medical report from the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital revealed.
Speaking to the Daily Observer, Ebrima B Manneh, father of the child, who hailed from Niumi Sitanunku and an employee at Kairaba Shopping Centre, said his wife informed him that his child swallowed her own earing, while her mother was laundering at the back yard. According to him, they took her to the RVTH, where she was admitted and later released. She was asked to go back after 4 days. ?An X-ray was conducted and it revealed that my child swallowed an earing. The doctors advised my wife to take her to Dakar for surgical operation,? he remarked.
He appealed to the president of the Republic, NGOs, philanthropists and other individuals to assist them. Fakebba Manneh, resident of London Corner and brother to Ebrima Manneh, said the child is in a critical condition and she needs support. He appealed to the government, philanthropists, NGOs, individuals to support them to take their child for surgery in Dakar.
