Asante Kotoko manager, Paa Kwesi Fabin has restored his side's losing fortunes as he went past visiting RTU 2-1, in their midweek clash at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Whether he would be able to hold on to the new revival, having recorded a steak of draws since joining the Red Army, would depend on his performance at the dreaded Kpando stadium, where Kotoko have an awful record.
The last time Kotoko visited the Volta Region, they managed 2-1 revenge win over their bitter rivals. Of course, that was when coach Isaac Opeele Boateng was in charge of the Porcupine Warriors, while Paa Kwesi was on the other side.
The Kotoko coach's only trump card in Sunday's game is certainly his knowledge about the Lions team, which he helped to craft, a relationship that ended some few months ago. But that will not offer him victory on a silver platter, considering the compact nature of the Lions play, especially before their home crowd.
Other games will see Berekum Arsenals who deepened the woes of Eleven Wise with 1-0 victory at Essipong, entertaining Ashgold at the Golden City Park.
Troubled Wise will travel to play Liberty Professionals at the Carl Reindolf Park in Dansoman, while RTU host Great Olympics at Tamale.
King Faisal will stay home to play Wa All Stars, with Hearts of Oak hosting Chelsea, home away from home. Aduana will trek to Sekondi to battle Hasaacas, while in form New Edubiase stay home to play current league leaders Kessben FC at the Len Clay Stadium.
