The serrekunda east zonal team yesterday managed a 1-0 victory over division one outfit club, Armed Forces at the east ground.

Hitman John Gomez grabbed the only goal that separated the two sides half way in to the first-half.An experimental starting line up that featured Abdoulie jeng down the wing ahead of Habibou koroma while partnering Omar jassey alias 'waterman' with Amadou Baldeh in the front paid off early when 'waterman' laid a through ball to striker John Gomez who tricked the goalkeeper before tapping the ball in to an empty net.Armed forces Del piero,Landing Darboe came twice to scoring but he squandered on both occasions, one of which he struck the hands of the East goalkeeper Madi.

Buba Sama should have scored a goal coming in to second-half, when his shot went off target.

East continued to put pressure on their opponents, forcing Armed Forces to resort to defensive tactic.
