Zimbabwe: 'Take Education Seriously'

editorial

Harare — ZIMPAPERS employees should take education seriously for the benefit of the company, the printing and publishing firm's chief executive officer Mr Justin Mutasa has said.

He was speaking at a cocktail party held yesterday for three senior Zimpapers employees who recently graduated at the University of Zimbabwe.

These are Herald Editor William Chikoto who got a first class Master of Arts in Leadership and Management degree, group business development and marketing director Tapuwa Mandimutsira and management accountant Forward Kufakunesu -- who both graduated with Master of Business Administration degrees.

"I am happy that all these who recently graduated are in a leadership position and they are inspiring others to follow," he said.

He said this comes at a time when they were grooming youngsters at the company to take over different positions.

"Youngsters have matured and some of them know what Zimpapers is. They should learn and I want them to be especially on the practical side," said Mr Mutasa.

He urged other employees to emulate this achievement.

Zimpapers group financial director, Mr Adolf Majome, said Zimpapers had always been giving its employees loans to fund their education. He said once they had passed, they would be refunded their money.'Take education seriously'
