The officials of Galmudug State administration have started enrolling the Internally Displaced People Somalis from southern Somalia in Galka'o town in Mudug region, official said on Sunday.
Hussein Aw Abdulle, the chairman of Galka'o town held press conference in the town yesterday and said that his administration would start registering the people in the displaced camps in the south of the town which is under their control as most of the IDPs in the north of the town are still pouring in to the south under.
Galka'o is the centre of Mudug region in north of the country and dived into two sides south and north which are manned by the both Galmudug and Puntland.
Most of the people from south of Somalia reached the town to get shelter, stability and peace in the town. But they are now encountering difficulties, just as planned killings, explosions and insecurity situations raised the town recently which caused the Somalis from the south to be isolated from the other.
Mr. Abdulle said that there had been lack of security in the town over the recent weeks pointing out that the killings and intimidations were related to be behind by the people from the IDP camps in the town asserting that the main aim of their registration was to tighten the security of the town.
He lastly called for security branches of the town to be alert on the people coming from the north side and pouting into the south of Galka'o town in Mudug region.
