Abuja — Super Eagles forward, Chinedu Ogbuke Obasi continued with his impressive form in the German Bundesliga this season, as he grabbed a goal for his side, TSG Hoffenheim in their 4-0 drubbing of FC Cologne in a week 13 clash.
The pacy hitman returned from a three week injury lay-off which effectively ruled him out of last weekend final World Cup qualifying game between Nigeria and Kenya and two consecutive Bundesliga games to score Hoffenheim's second of the night in the 11th minute after Eduardo grabbed the opener in the 5th minute of the highly entertaining encounter.
That strike was the former Lyn Oslo of Norway's sixth of the season, one short of the number he netted for the village side in all competitions last season.
Other goals of the night came from his strike partners, Demba Ba who scored the third on 46 minutes and the club's top scorer, Vehid Ibisevic on the dot of 90 minutes completed the comprehensive routing of Cologne who once enjoyed the services of former Super Eagles captain, Sunday Ugochukwu Oliseh.
Also in Germany, Nigeria's hero in last weekend's 3-2 win against Kenya, Obafemi Akinwumi Martins fired blank as his side, Wolfsburg suffered a 3-2 defeat at home against lowly Nuremberg.
The weapon of mass destruction failed to add to his five goals tally for the German champions, as they gradually fall of the pace on the log.
