Tunis — Participants in the Junior Chamber International (JCI) World Congress, held on the 16th-21st instant in Hammamet, expressed "heartfelt congratulations to President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, following his brilliant re-election to the Presidency of the Republic and for the perfect transparency, democratic environment, respect of law and spirit of diversity which characterised the electoral campaign."

In a message sent to the Head of State, participants express satisfaction at "the huge efforts" exerted to crown with success this world congress, paying tribute to the President of the Republic for his support and encouragement to social and associational activity.

Besides, they express heartfelt thanks to President Ben Ali for the interest he is constantly taking in youths, and their support to his call to proclaim 2010 "a world youth year" and to organise a world youth congress under the United Nations' auspices, in order to define an international charter for all world youths.
