Tunis — Chairman and members of the National Council of the Order of Pharmacists expressed consideration to President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali for the efforts exerted to develop the national pharmaceutical industry and encourage investment in the private health sector in priority zones.

In a message sent to the President of the Republic, they commend the avant-garde measures taken during Friday's cabinet meeting chaired by the Head of State and devoted to specialty medicine and the national pharmaceutical industry.

They voice satisfaction at the steps taken to help the national laboratories create or develop research units. They also hail the decision pertaining to the development of pharmaceutical industry based on biotechnology and upgrading structures operating in the medicines sector and their re-organisation so as to set up a single structure adjusted to the sector's progress.
