Karasburg — Young artists in the south these days are taking charge of their talent and in that way they are stepping up to change their lives.
With the increasing artistic talent growing in the south, fresh and exciting music releases appear progressively more. Most of these releases are created by young artists themselves, with no managers and without owning studios.
These artists encourage and motivate one another to shine a light on their own lives and become more determined and expressive in pursuing their god-given talent.
In the process of instantaneously connecting with their inner souls to create mind-blowing and entertaining sounds so often an audacious passage to these artists.
"Twinkle Boyz" is one such group who confidently compiled and released their 12-track album called "Medisyne".
Angelo Elrico van Niekerk aka Bona and Steven Vries aka Stu-2 who were both born in Karasburg, see themselves as the kings of RnB and hip-hop.
Twinkle Boyz, who dreams of becoming as famous as Michael Jackson, Tupac, Neyo and Akon - their icons - promised to take care and help upcoming struggling artists when they are famous and releasing number one hits.
Experiencing how young artists in Namibia are currently struggling in getting managed and promoted, encourages Twinkle Boyz to ensure that they lend a helping hand to those in need, by the time they become big shots in the music industry, said Bona.
The songs on the album consist of 'Days Passing By'; 'Come Back to Me'; 'Maak 'n keuse'; 'Why Let Go'; 'Spare Me the Pain'; 'Medisyne'; 'Dakasa'; 'Shenorela'; 'Otherwise'; 'Majawa'; 'I'm Back Again' and 'Medisyne Instrumental'.
Twinkle Boyz who promised that this album is the hit, will have shows all over the Karas Region during the festive season, starting with Aroab, a village near Keetmanshoop.
'Medisyne', the album has been inspired by 'Medisyne', the single they released last year. According to Bona, the demand was enormous, which left them with no other option than to release an album.
