Abuja — Three books - Who Wanted Third Term?, Abuja Demolition and Real Issues In Christian Marriage - were yesterday presented to the general public. The books, written by Pastor Dr. Dan Ogun a legal luminary and coordinator of Zonal Pastors' Forum of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Abuja, were launched in Apo Legislative Quarters, Abuja.
The foreword of Who Wanted Third Term was written by Sam Nda-Isaiah, the publisher of Leadership Newspapers, who was represented during the occasion by Abraham Nda-Isaiah, the executive director of the group.
The books, in the words of the chairman of the occasion, Barrister Alex Opanachi, were "written to fight a just cause". Speaking at the event, Mr. Nda-Isaiah enjoined the author to "continue the good work of defending the cause of the common man".
Speaking on the occasion, the author of the books, who also used the occasion to mark his 50th birthday, said he "wrote the Abuja Demolition to fight the illegality in the demolition of illegal structures in Abuja".
The event was attended by Bishop Duke Akamisoko, Barrister Sunday Ameh, and Dr. Jimson Olusuje, president of Information Technology Association of Nigeria (ITAN).
Ogun, who is currently a retiring director of programme management of the Directorate of Technical Cooperation in Africa, had served as pioneer director and director, legal services, of the directorate.
Born on August 16, 1959, Ogun started his career in active private legal practice and was later called to the lower bench in Benue and Kogi states' judiciaries where he rose to the position of chief magistrate before leaving to work with a primary mortgage bank in Abuja.
After giving his life to the service of God, on February 2, 1979, he went into active service as a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Abuja.
He has participated in negotiating various national and international agreements on behalf of Nigeria and country, he is also said to have left incredible mark in the work of God.
