Tanzania: Fiesta 2009 Bash Was a Flop, Say Angry Fans

This year's fiesta concert has been described as a flop due to poor organisation. Some revelers blamed the organisers for the mess, saying they did not get value for their money.

Some people complained about availability of only one beer brand that had sponsored the event -leaving the rest the show premises.

Though the concern started at noon, things did not pick up until

around 11pm when local artists started to perform.

The much acclaimed US artiste, Busta Rymes, who was invited specifically for the show, did not appear until 1.20am to the chagrin of most participants who had been waiting for him.

Even when he was on the stage, the musician did not sing his numbers to the end and the fact that he had gained some weight made some of the fans complain about his slow movements on the stage.

"He has gained weight, how can you expect him to be dancing vigorously on the stage?"said one lady who did not disclose her name.

After his show, Busta spent almost 15 minutes paying tribute to his dead relatives and friends.

A car raffle which was promised was conducted shortly before Busta took to the stage but the owner of ticket number 14257 which was picked, turned out to be a ghost holder.

The organisers promised to conduct another raffle later but until 3:30am the raffle had not been conducted. Some of the local artistes who performed alongside Busta include Professa J, Mainda Zorro, Shaa, Joh Makini, Cpwaa, Albert Mangwair and Chid Benz.
