Tunis — Prime Minister Mohamed Ghannouchi Monday received Mr. Jean Pierre Ezin, African Union (AU) Commissioner for Human Resources, Science and Technology.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Jean Pierre Ezin said the talk had turned on prospects for the development of information and communication technologies in the African continent, adding that the next summit of the AU heads of state and government scheduled for the beginning of next year in Addis Ababa will be devoted to this issue.

The African guest also emphasised Tunisia's care to boost co-operation among African countries in this field, stressing the need to increase exchanges and work out concrete and efficient programmes and the importance of the role devolving upon the private sector in this field.

The meeting was attended notably by Minister of Communication Technologies El Hadj Gley.
