Somalia: Sheikh Aweys - 'We Are Sorry the Renewed Fighting in Southern Somalia'

Somalia — Sheikh Hassan Dahir Aweys, the Islamist leader of Hisbul Islam organization has Monday that they were very sorry for renewed fighting between the two rival fighters in Jubba regions in southern Somalia.

Sheik Aweys told reporters in Eseley airstrip in out side Mogadishu that he called both the two sides, Hisbul Islam and Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen to understand more to halt the fighting going on in parts of lower Jubba region pointing that he was very sorry the continuing clashes between the two sides.

"We had talked the clashes for several times and we repeated our calls to stop the fighting in jubba regions. Really, what we are very sorry is to fight against with people who are not deserved to fight with and we want the clashes to be stopped totally. The conflicts should be solved with the Sharia law and that is what we agreed with our brothers Al-Shabab" said Aweys

The statement of Hisbul Islam leader Sheikh Hassan Dahir Aweys comes as Harakat Al-Shabab Mujhideen said in a statement issued on Sunday that their forces had peacefully taken over the control of Af-madow district in southern Somalia where there where had forces loyal to the Islamic organization of Hisbul Islam earlier.
