Luanda — The inspector-general of higher education, Madeira Pereira, Monday in Luanda called on university students for greater engagement in researching activities, for a better quality of teaching and learning.
Madeira Pereira was speaking to Angop during a lecture on "The quality of higher education in the country". He urged the students to often visit the library and read, as many books as possible, in order to get more knowledge.
"The research activities make us true university students. They are important practices as they (research) contribute to the intellectual growth of students", emphasised the official.
In his turn, the principal of Methodist University, Teresa da Silva Neto, said that the country will not have qualified staff unless the university students invest in research.
