Abuja — Okun Peoples Forum, (OPF) will on Saturday, November 28, 2009, hold the 2nd Memorial Anniversary Lecture in honour of the late Chairman of the Arewa Consultative Forum, (ACF) Chief (Dr.) Sunday Awoniyi.

Awoniyi was involved in a fatal auto-crash on Abuja-Kaduna road on November 19, 2007 and was flown to the London Clinic from the National Hospital, Abuja, in an air ambulance, for intensive care.

But he did not come out of the coma in the aftermath of the crash and lost the battle for life on November 28.

The lecture, according to a statement by the Planning Committee, signed by Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan, would take place in Mopa, the hometown of Awoniyi, under the chairmanship of former Minister of National Planning, Chief Silas B. Daniyan.

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, the statement said, would play the role of chief host, adding that the lecture would be delivered by Professor I.I. Ihimodu.

The first memorial lecture, last year, entitled: "Imperative of Good Governance and Trustworthy Leadership for National by Development," was delivered Professor Etannibi Alemika.

Among Okun personalities expected at the event are Professor Eyitayo Lambo, Major-General David Jemibewon (retd.), Chief S.K.. Adedoyin and Mr. Dan D. Kunle
