Nigeria: Wolves Move Top of GLO League Table

Lagos — Warri Wolves yesterday moved to the top of the glo Premier League table with a 3-2 victory over visiting Heartland FC of Owerri. Wolves, who have maintained a 100 percent home record are currently tied at same 13 points with leaders Enyimba of Aba but have superior goals advantage. Heartland's Sherrif Bill had stunned the homers with his 3rd minute opener before skipper Goodluck Onamado stopped the early celebrations of the Naze Millionaires with his equaliser in the 19th minute.

Wolves were soon seizing the momentum of the highly octane encounter and exploring ways of picking the three points at stake. Luck however smiled on the Delta team when Gift Atulewa shot the Warri team into the lead in the 38th minute.

In Yenegoa, Sharks FC slumped 2-1 to Bayelsa United in another rescheduled match.
