Somalia: Islamists Call for Government Troops to Leave Martini Hospital

Mohamed Osman Arus, the spokesman the Islamic organization of Hisbul Islam for the operations has Thursday called for the TFG police forces to leave form Martini Hospital, a home for disabled national Somalia army in Mogadishu.

The spokesman said in an interview with Shabelle radio that they were very sorry for the deployment of the transitional government troops poured into the hospital pointing out that hospital was home for the former Somali military who lost their limbs in the war between Somalia and Ethiopia in 1977.

More of the former Somali national army had made demonstrations yesterday in the hospital as the police forces of the Transitional government reached Martini Hospital in Mogadishu.

All parts from Somali society like the scholars, educators and rights groups condemned the deployment of the government troops in the hospital.
