Nigeria: Julius Agwu's Comedy Train Hits Terra Kulture

Lagos — Frontline comedian, Julius Agwu is set to host his long awaited comedy club, which he calls Comedy Train at Terra Kulture. According to Julius who has become an icon of the comedy industry in Nigeria, the event, which is taking place today, Friday November 27, is being hosted for the upwardly mobile that work or reside around the island.

Today's edition which would be a fusion of all genres of entertainment is the premiere edition and it promises to be grand. For those who love a bit of poetry, music, dance, games, comedy and fun, there is all of these and more.

Sage would be living up to his billing with first class comedy, while MI, Jesse Jags, Jojo Body Beat and Jimmy Jatt would be supplying the music. Emeka Smith, Senator and Julius would be cracking ribs with fresh cut comedy. A new comedian, Kelly Blind who is actually blind, will also be on hand to prove that incapability is only in the mind.

Speaking on the comedy and lifestyle club, Julius said the premiere would give people a taste of what to come. "I know there have been comedy clubs in times past but this would redefine what we have and show people that there is more to Friday enjoyment than what we have now."

The comedy club is billed to be a monthly affair and would be taking place last Friday of every month.

The club is not the only thing Julius has up his sleeve; plans are in top gear for the comedian's yearly Crack ya Ribs which is billed to take place at Oceanview in Lagos on December 13 with the Port Harcourt edition billed for Christmas day at Hotel Presidential.
