The Chairman of the Ghana Beach Sports Association (GBSA), Mr. Yaw Ampofo-Ankrah, has revealed that all is set for the maiden Media Beach Soccer Cup, scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday, at the La Beach Resort in Accra.
"All is set for the games by way of organization, and the various media houses have shown great interest in the forthcoming games .Our sponsors have also responded positively," the chairman said in plain words.
The Chronicle and The Heritage will set the ball rolling at 8.am, while Ghana News Agency (GNA) and CRTV take their turn in the second game of the day.
The other fixtures are Sportslife vrsSports Fila, Sena Radio vrsTV Africa, HotFMvrsRadio Gold, ETV vrsHappy FM, DailySearchlightvrs Peace FM, PinkFMvrsTop Radio, Statesman vrsKessben FM; Channel R vrs Satellite, Skyy TV vrsRite FM, Citi FMvrsObonu FM.
The rest are Jubilee FMvrsAsempaFM, Joy FM vrs Choice FM, Sunny FMvrsGreat FM; TV3vrs YFM, X FM vrsAdom FM, UniiqFMvrsMetro TV, OmanFMvrsGTV and Soccernet vrs CRYSTAL TV.
At stake are attractive prizes donated by the sponsors for the winners. The two-day program is being sponsored by Global Media Alliance, Accra Breweries Limited (ABL), Voltic, Healthilife, FedEX, Zoomlion and Digital Innovation.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ampofo-Ankra has stated in a press release that a FIFA TV crew is in Accra and has confirmed a video shoot at the LA PLEASURE BEACH (behind Labadi Beach Hotel) today.
"This would afford the media, stakeholders and sponsors the opportunity to view the venue and be part of the FIFA documentary pluspositions around arena to set up for branding," the statement added.
