Somalia: Ministers Appoint Chairman of High Court

Mogadishu — The Somali transitional federal government ministers have held meeting in the Somali capital Mogadishu and appointed a chairman for the high court of the TFG, officials said on Sunday.

Reports say that high meeting led by the transitional prime minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharma'arke was formally named Mohamed Omar Farah (Inda Bur) to be the chairman of the high court of the transitional government of Somalia.

Abdi Haji Gobdon, the consultant of Prime Minister for the information affairs held press conference for the journalists after the meeting of the cabinet confirming that they ministers agreed Mohamed Omar Farah (Inda Bur) to be the head of the high court of the TFG.

On the other hand the cabinet also discussed new law of federal for the government.

Modobe Nunow Mohamed, the minister of the constitution and federal affairs of the transitional government explained more on the structure of the TFG which adopted the Sharia law saying that it will be brought before the parliament then will be signed by president Sharif Sheik Ahmed.

The announcement of the formed chairman of the high court of the TFG had created more dispute former president of the TFG Col. Abdullahi Yususf Ahmed and his Prime Minister Ali Mohamed Ghedi.
