Somalia: Government Troops Capture More Than 30 People in Mogadishu

Mogadishu — The transitional government troops have conducted operations in Hamar Weyne district in Mogadishu and captured more than 30 people charging they were creating insecurity activities there, officials told Shabelle radio on Sunday.

Abdullahi Ibrahim Sahal known as (Gardub), the district commissioner of Hamar weyne district of the transitional government held press conference in Mogadishu saying that their troops conducted operation against the banditry actions in the district and detained more people suspected of creating insecurity activities and use of drugs in the areas under their control.

"The number of people that the soldiers captured are about 31 including those whose were committing banditry actions with their weapons and others who were intoxicated and using drugs," said Gardub

The statement of the transitional government official comes as there had been banditry actions committing by people with the uniform of the TFG.
