Africa: Five Days to Big Brother Finale

Nigel Nassar

29 November 2009

Kampala — IT felt like it would never end. With the 25 contestants that the M-Net reality show featured this season, I thought it would take forever to see the last man standing leave the Big Brother Revolution sh400m richer.

Turns out the finale is just around the corner; December 6, to be exact. With 20 housemates already evicted, there are now five left.

By press time yesterday, one of the three, Itai, Emma and Kevin, was expected to leave the house.

But chances were high Zimbabwe's Itai would be ousted, seeing as it is that his nine lives had been exhausted. Biggie hadn't yet delivered the final instructions, but it is usually at the Top Five level that viewers start voting for their favourite to win.

At the moment, Namibia's twin, Edward Moongo, is the viewers' favourite, with Nigeria's Kevin inching close behind him. If it stays as it is, Edward is five days from becoming a millionaire.

But this will not be easy for him, as Kevin is also doing everything possible to walk away with the money.

Yesterday, he woke up ahead of everyone else and cleaned up the whole house while the rest slumbered, which probably added him an extra vote.

That vote, however, shouldn't be from Uganda, as the Nigerian spearheaded the eviction of both Ugandan contestants, throwing us out of

the game at a premature level.

Our boy is Edward; don't forget that when it comes to voting who wins.
