Luanda — Angolan interior minister, Roberto Monteiro "Ngongo", today highlighted the deeds of the internal intelligence services (SINFO) in the combat against actions detrimental to the state.
In a message congratulating the institution for another anniversary, the minister stated that, as the state organ which integrate andcoordenate the national security system, SINFO developed many preventive actions to combat sabotage and hinder the practice of acts of terrorism, espionage, and other actions detrimental to the state.
He urged the staff to maintain the level of operation demonstrated so far, given the approach of an important event, the african nationas cup Orange-Angola 2010, to be host in January, adding that SINFO always knew how to defend the principles for which it was created.
"Today in a climate more unclouded, but neither more nor less secure, with globalization security is a task increasingly complex due to increase in threats to state security" - he warned, stating that acting under the principle of full respect for the legal competences in matter of investigation, SINFO must do everything possible to counter the alleged criminal behaviour that adversely affects the interests of the state both internally and threats or actions from abroad.
