Luanda — Angolan Government's nationwide housing programme underway since 2008, will go until 2012, due to demographic growth, the dynamics and far-reaching scope of the national reconstruction process.
This was said Friday in Luanda by the director general of the National Housing Institute, Eugénio Correia, during a debate on "The degree of implementation of Angolan Government housing projects", jointly organised by the State-run Television (TPA) and "Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA) stations.
According to the official, the expansion of the programme has nothing to do with fears of failure to accomplish the Government's one million houses plan until 2012, announced in 2008 by the head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos.
He said that will be instead due to Government's effort to secure housing for all citizens.
