Angola: Red Cross Assists Returnees From DR Congo

Caxito — The Angola Red Cross (CVA) has delivered two tonnes of assorted goods to Bengo province-born returnees recently expelled from the Democratic Republic of Congo, a local CVA official disclosed today.

According to Baltazar Mateus Pedro, the donation is made up of machetes, hoes, shovels, kitchen utensils and potable water treatment products.

The goods were delivered in Kicabo commune, Bengo municipality, while the CVA official urged the civil society and local businessmen to back the efforts of the institution to lessen the hindrances of the returnees.

The CVA also distributed 30 tents to flood victims families.
