Kampala — TWO New Vision journalists have won awards for their exemplary coverage of population and development issues in the country.
Irene Nabusoba and Lydia Namubiru participated in a journalists' competition organised by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Population Secretariat.
The awards were presented to the winners on Thursday at Sheraton Hotel during the launch of the State of Uganda as well as the State of the World Population reports.
The Minister for Finance and Economic Development, Syda Bbumba, handed over plaques to the winning journalists.
Each winner also received sh700,000 cash.
