The Ministry of Commerce in collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and partners will today celebrate World Standard and African Industrialization Day.
The one-day event which takes place in Monrovia is expected to bring together local manufacturers, sculptors and business people from the industrial sector who will exhibit their product for promotion.
The gathering also aims at creating awareness on the need for industrialization in African economies.
Meanwhile the United Nation Development Program (UNDP) and the Economic Community of the West African States (ECOWAS) are among international organizations expected to grace the occasion which will see manufacturers sell products at factory price to the public.
The African Industrialization Day was adopted by the United Nations general assembly in 1989 setting aside November 20th of each year the celebration of the (AID).
