Baring any unforeseen glitches, South Africa songstress Yvonne Chaka Chaka is expected in the country today, for a World Cup mission.

The visit will see the song diva and Richgold Kweku Odeshie, World Cup song composer, paying a courtesy call on President JEA Mills at the Castle Osu today. Yvonne Chaka Chaka is in the country to finalize the World Cup theme song that the Coalition for Supporters Union of Africa (COSUA) had contracted Richgold to release ahead of the Mundial.

Subsequently, the duo will call on the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu I, and the Okyehene Nana Amoatia Ofori Paning for further deliberations.

According to the President of COSUA, Mr. Sarfo Abebrese, the move forms part of efforts to rally a chunk football fans behind the six African representatives Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, Nigeria, Cameroun, Algeria and host, South Africa in the forthcoming soccer showpiece slated for South Africa next June.

Happenings from the corridors of COSUA suggests that Richgold would be leaving for the US to put finishing touches to the sound track that will be featured in South Africa.
