Sierra Leone: Country to Observe Human Rights Day in Grand Style

Freetown — Chairperson of human rights commission of Sierra Leone (HRC-SL) said this year's international human rights day would be observed in the country in grand style.

Edward Sam said the commission has planned a series of activities to be undertaken during a week-long celebration, starting from the 2nd to 11th December, 2009. The activities include primary school drama competition, best human rights speaker contest, outreach and community sensitization, symposium, expert group meeting, launching of the war victims fund, friendly football match and the official international human rights day celebration.
