Tunis — The Sfax Chamber of Industry and Commerce is organizing from December 3 to 6, 2009, a mission trips to Mali, Cote d'Ivoire and Burkina Faso so as to discover the African market and strengthen opportunities of partnership and investment between Tunisian businessmen and their African counterparts.
The Sfax Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized recently a series of economic and sectoral missions to Mauritania, Senegal, China, France and Germany which witnessed the participation of major Tunisian businessmen, investors and craftsmen.
UTICA, The Tunisian Union of Industry, Commerce and Handicrafts and CEPEX, the Tunisian centre for the Promotion of Exports, agreed on an annual appointment with their African counterparts to promote trade and investment opportunities in Africa.
In 2007, Tunisia developed a plan to promote exports and trade with Africa.
The Tunisian exports to African countries increased from 132 million dinars in 2007 to 356 million dinars, Tunisia continues to boost exports to the African continent as well as encouraging Tunisian businessmen to invest in Africa.
