Uganda: American Actor to Raise Funds for Gorillas

Kampala — American movie star Jason Biggs has organised an event in California today to raise funds and awareness about the endangered Mountain Gorilla.

Biggs is working with a group called LA Friends of the Uganda Wildlife Authority.

The event will also feature a film about the Mountain Gorilla.

Tony Ofungi, the senior information officer at Tourism Uganda, said photos taken during the Befriend-a-Gorilla campaign in Uganda will be exhibited and sold to benefit conservation in Uganda.

Biggs is among the Hollywood film stars who toured Bwindi Impenetrable National Park earlier this year as they raised awareness and funds for the Mountain Gorilla.
