The Acting city mayor of Monrovia Mary Broh, has disclosed to the Analyst that several ministries of government have been hooked for what she called 'bad sanitation'
Madam Broh made the disclosure on Thursday, December 3, 2009, when she addressed a team of journalists on Broad Street while carrying on a vigorous cleaning up exercise. She named the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs, Education and Finance as some of the ministries who were fined for bad sanitation.
According to madam Broh, the Finance Ministry was fined US1000.00 while the Ministry of Education was charged US250.00. She added that so far only the education ministry has paid its fine.
Meanwhile, madam Broh has revealed the over 8,000 jobs are to be provided for young people who are jobless in the country. She said the jobs will be mainly focused in the area of waste management. "There will be 8,000 jobs soon. There are many job opportunities coming soon fro Liberians. Those are willing to work obviously will have a chance to do so" she said.
