The Annual President's Concert, which is the last event hosted by Maitisong every year, was once again a marvel to watch.

Under the 'African' segment, the Maruapula Marimba Band performed a marimba piece namely Chamutengure, an arrangement by Alport Mhlanga.
One of the shortest performances of the evening was an offering by Mogwana traditional dance troupe, which was a pity. Mogwana 's offerings are always outstanding and one could only wish they were given more time.
Gabriel Modise and Tsoga Africa performed a spirited gumboot dance followed by the entertaining Andrew Kola and Mophato who danced to a kwela song reminiscent of apartheid era South Africa.
Kennedy Thal, an up and coming artist, did a beautiful rendition of Beyonce's Halo, which is an extract from Shaken, Not Stirred compiled and directed by Mandi Mash.
The flamboyant Tumediso 'Shanti Lo' Loeto, dressed in a red outfit with a blue belt, sang Ngwao urging members of the audience to embrace their culture.
Uneek Grooves Dance School performed Generations of dance under the mentorship of Heath Lambert. The young dancers clad in t-shirts written 'Dare to be different' greatly impressed with their moves.
Despite some technical hitches, Rose Marie Hamoir and Moonga Kapambwe did a beautiful rendition of Hallelujah. Both youngsters were the judges' choice winners in My African Dream (MAD) 2008 and 2009 respectively.
C12 performed the late King of Pop Michael Jackson's The way you make me feel and there was a guest appearance by dancer, Khumo Kereng who showcased the late superstar's famous moves including the 'moon walk'.

After a 15-minute recess, the 'Rags to Riches' segment followed with about 30 young aspiring actors dressed in their 'worn workhouse gear' bursting onto the stage with their engaging and electrifying montage taken from Broadway musicals. Act two of the 'Rags to Riches' was all about the festive season with Refilwe Mpai and Lebogang Motubudi performing Baby its cold outside.
Botswana's export to Europe, Angela Kerrison, dressed in a red and black eveningwear, sang Have yourself a merry little Christmas.
