Uganda: Pros Tee Off in Big MTN Mug of Mugs

The par-72 Uganda Golf Club (UGC) Kitante course was a busy place yesterday and the scene was justifiable.

The elite golfers from Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda were polishing their skills in preparation for the cash-rich Shs10m MTN Mug of Mugs that tees off this morning.

The professionals will play 72 holes over four rounds (one-per day) in the season ender of the second edition of the MTN Professionals Circuit.

Local stars Deo Akope and Godfrey Mande will be favourites for the Shs2.5m top cash prize.
