Nigeria: Intercontinental Bank Rewards North East

Maiduguri — As part of activities marking its 20th Anniversary, Intercon-tinental Bank Plc rewarded 22 loyal customers from the North East region for their confidence in the bank during its trying time, which saw its top management ousted by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for complexity in granting of loan facilities.

Two of the customers, Nuhu Ibrahim Dikko from Damaturu, Ezechiel Elegbede from Bauchi won brand new Toyota Corolla cars and other 20 persons went home with a brand new motor cycle each.

The winners who were drawn from a pool of 13,450 qualified customers when contacted on phone showed their joy and appreciation to the management of the bank.

Speaking at the draw, which was held in Maiduguri yesterday, the Managing Director of the Bank, Mr. Mahmoud Lai Alabi who was represented by the bank's North east regional manager, Mohammed Adamu described the draw as a reward promo because it was a "time to appreciate and reward its loyal customers who have remained with the bank through the thick and thin in spite of the competitive challenges in the banking industries over the years."

He further explained that the reason for the promo held in all the eight zones of the bank was to thank their numerous customers and other stakeholders for their loyalty over the years, noting that "this time we thought it wise to attach a reward to that loyalty by offering 20 Toyota Corolla Cars and 160 Simba Motorcycles."

He disclosed that so far 12 cars and 120 Motorcycles have already be won at Kano, Abuja, Calabar, Jos, Abeokuta and Enugu draws before the coming for the Maiduguri draw.
