Simba SC take on URA of Uganda today in an international friendly match at Uhuru Stadium.
Simba, who are yet to lose a match in the Vodacom Premier League, will face a stern test against the Super League's defending champions.
The taxmen lie fourth in the Uganda's league with 17 points from eight games - a point less than leaders Bunamwaya.
The Msimbazi Street lads, who will be without most of their influential players, are set to capitalise on the friendly to test their new players.
Their first team players are serving Kilimanjaro Stars at the ongoing Orange Challenge Cup in Nairobi.
Simba bolstered their squad with two new faces who are Mike Baraza and Jerry Santo. Free agent Baraza was playing for Young Africans while Santo decamped from Tusker FC of Kenya.
Club information officer Clifford Ndimbo said Baraza had coped well with Simba's style of play and would be in the starting line up today.
"Everyone here sings praise of him, this is clear evidence that Baraza has integrated well in the squad," he said.
Coordinator of the match, George Wakuganda, said all necessary preparations for the match were ready.
"Everything is almost ready and I call upon Simba fans to show up in big numbers," he said.
The Super League champions will play Young Africans tomorrow at the same venue.
Besides warming up for the second round of the league, Young Africans and Simba are preparing for the African Champions League and Confederations Cup respectively.
