The Liberia National Police (LNP) over the week end arrested one Augustine Kimber for impersonating as official of the National Security Agency (NSA).
Kimber was picked up by the LNP over the weekend following a complaint filed by Mr. Philip Mulbah (Nephew) of the late Keith Jubah, Commissioner of the Public Procurement and Concession Commission (PPCC).
According to a Police charge sheet, suspect Kimber, 32 went to Mr. Mulbah's house on the Duport Road claiming to be a personnel of the state security and member of the team investigating the murder of Commissioner, Keith Jubah.
Mr. Mulbah furthered that the defendant told him that he (Kimber) has spent money for transportation from Monrovia to Kakata to gather information about Jubah's death and did not want 'to be seen around the Jubah's family. Hence, he needed some money for transportation.
During the police investigation, suspect Kimber admitted telling the compliant and his wife that he is a member of the National Security Agency (NSA) team currently investigating the late Keith Jubah's death.
The act is in violation of section 12.35 of the new penal code of Liberia. Defendant Kimber has been charged with impersonating as personnel of the NSA and sent to court trial.
Mr. Keith Jubah was killed on November 1 on his farm in Margibi County by an unknown person.
