Harare — Zimbabwean workers have been described as highly skilled, resilient and dedicated people who have managed to withstand financial challenges brought by sanctions.
AON Sub-Saharan Africa and South Africa chief executive officer, Mr Anton Roux said Zimbabwean workers are a rare breed of workers who are highly committed even under the toughest working conditions.
"Many regional companies who employ Zimbabwean workers made sure that they kept them fairly well during the global financial crunch as they are hard to come by.
"AON also strived to retain skilled Zimbabwean staff employed in all its centres as we realise they are highly skilled and dedicated breed of workers," he said.
He also said Zimbabwean companies should strive to realign their business operations according to international trends.
"The world is fast becoming a global village where business trends are very competitive, companies with the best skills will remain viable.
"Zimbabwe has a lot of skilled personnel who are dedicated to their work.
"The world was amazed especially last year at how Zimbabwean workers managed to go to work when there was no fuel, no food in shops.
"They can live anywhere under this planet," he added.
He also said the world is hoping for the recovering of the Zimbabwean economy so as to be able to reward the hardworking workers.
"The world and region in particular should help in the recovery of the Zimbabwean economy.
"The growth of the Zimbabwean economy will also help in the growth of regional economies," he said.
