Somalia: Fighting Starts in North Mogadishu, Islamists Claim Victory

Mogadishu — Heavy fighting between the Islamist fighters of Harakat Al shabab Mujahideen and Hizbul Islam and the transitional federal Government troops has started in north of the Somali capital Mogadishu, just as the Islamist forces claimed victory over the fighting between the two sides.

Reports say that two civilians were killed and 7 others wounded in the fighting as mortar shell landed into Arjantin neighborhood in Karan district where the fighting continued in north Mogadishu.
