Nigeria: Sacked LG Chairmen Stop Ladoja From Withdrawing Suit

Ibadan — A cold war is now brewing in the political camp of fomer governor of Oyo State, Senator Rasheed Ladoja as 17 out of the 33 local government chairmen elected in the twilight of his administration has stopped him from withdrawing the suit filed against their illegal sack.

While Ladoja had written to the counsel representing the chairmen in the case, Chief Akin Olujimi to finally terminate the case, 17 of the chairmen wrote another letter insisting that the case must go on until justice is done.

The chairmen said if it was just to use the case in further growing democracy in Nigeria, they owe the electorate and the country as a whole that responsibility.
