Liberia: Filth Clearing Campaign Lands Broh in Court

Following her recent clean-up of the notoriously filthy "People's Building", on Benson Street in central Monrovia, Acting Mayor, Mary Broh is expected to appear before City Solicitor, Sam T. Solomon, at the Monrovia Magisterial Court for questioning, a court source told this paper.

The Acting Mayor, according to the source, is accused by the Care-taker of People Building, Mr Kafumba Sando, of "unlawfully invading into the premises."

It may be recalled that Broh visited the premises of the peoples' building with the intent of cleaning the building, which, according to her, was buried in layers of filth and human wastes, amidst protest and resistance from its dwellers who maintained that their house was clean.
