Namibia: Short Film Scripts Sought

Windhoek — THE Namibian Film Commission (NFC) has called on local film scriptwriters to submit original short film texts under the theme, Surviving in Namibia.

The deadline for entries is 18 January 2010.

"The stories need to be innovative, daring, experimental and by all means fearless." Said the secretary of the FNC, Edwin Kanguatjivi.

According to him the selection of winning scripts will be based on artistic quality and originality of the ideas.

"Successful submissions will be work shopped with the help of a script doctor and a film director, whilst the successful submissions will be acknowledged and rewarded, determined by the script doctor. Entries should be made in standard film script format, not exceeding 10 pages, including a synopsis of 100 words," he said.
