Kampala — MAKERERE University won the inter-university rugby games in Entebbe on Sunday.

Makerere beat university business school MUBS 5-0 in the final to claim the gold in the 13th edition of the university championships this year.

Makerere narrowly sailed through the semi- finals by a toss of a coin after 0-0 tie against UCU while MUBS saw off Nkumba 12-7.

"This tournament has challenged us (URU) to set up a committee that will select these talented players and absorb them in the junior national team," national rugby manager Yayiro Kasasa said.

The games that kicked off Saturday last week end this Saturday at Nkumba University.
