Arusha — The Management, Teachers and workers of Arusha Meru Secondary School, the oldest private Secondary School in Arusha, held a farewell party for the longest serving member of the teaching staff Mr. Elias M. Kaaya who had been teaching at the school for 27 years.
Paying tribute, the Honorary Manager, Mr. Brij Behal said that Mr. Kaaya lived up to the principles of his noble profession by teaching his students consciously, zealously and responsibly. He further averred that Mr. Kaaya had taught hundreds of students the intricacies of Accounting and Commerce thereby preparing them for the world of business and entrepreneurship.
Workers and teachers contributed towards the purchase of a sewing machine, as a farewell gift, for Mama Kaaya whilst the Management pledged enough roofing material to enable the couple to complete their house and live comfortably. The Management urged Mr. Kaaya to write books so that future generations could benefit from his knowledge and experience.
